Engagement models

Different ways to work with us.

The right model depends on how settled your scope is and how long you expect to keep building. We'll recommend one during Discovery, but here's the full picture.

Fixed Project

For clearly defined projects

A defined scope, timeline and budget agreed upfront: best when requirements are well understood and unlikely to shift significantly during the build.

Best for

  • MVPs and well-specified products
  • Projects with a fixed budget ceiling
  • Clients who already have detailed requirements

How it works

  • Scope, deliverables and timeline are defined during Discovery and Strategy
  • A fixed price is agreed before development begins
  • Changes to scope are handled through a formal change process

Dedicated Team

For ongoing product development

A team assembled around your product and dedicated to it full-time: suited to products that will keep evolving well past the first release.

Best for

  • Products with an evolving roadmap
  • Startups building toward multiple releases
  • Teams that want continuity across iterations

How it works

  • A core team (engineering, design, and delivery as needed) is assigned to your product
  • Work is planned in sprints against a living roadmap
  • The team scales up or down as the roadmap requires

Staff Augmentation

Add specific technical capabilities

Individual engineers, designers or specialists who plug into your existing team and process to cover a skills gap or a capacity shortfall.

Best for

  • Teams that need a specific skill set (e.g. IoT, AI, mobile) temporarily
  • Capacity shortfalls during a crunch period
  • Organizations that want to keep the work under their own process

How it works

  • You define the skill set and capacity needed
  • Matched specialists join your existing workflow and tools
  • Engagement length flexes with your need

Product Partnership

Long-term technology partner

An ongoing relationship where Tridev acts as the technology partner behind your product over multiple years, not just the initial build.

Best for

  • Founders without an in-house technical co-founder
  • Companies that want one accountable technology partner long-term
  • Products expected to grow substantially over time

How it works

  • Engagement starts like a Dedicated Team but is structured for multi-year continuity
  • Architecture and technology decisions are made with long-term ownership in mind
  • Regular strategic reviews, not just sprint delivery

Maintenance & Support

Post-launch support

Ongoing care for a product that's already live: bug fixes, dependency updates, monitoring and small enhancements.

Best for

  • Products that have already launched (with Tridev or elsewhere)
  • Teams that need reliable upkeep without a full development team
  • Legacy systems that need stabilizing before further investment

How it works

  • A support scope and response-time expectations are agreed upfront
  • Work is tracked against a maintenance backlog
  • Scales into a Dedicated Team engagement if larger feature work comes up
